Exterior and Interior

The Express cargo van only has two front seats because of its freight-carrying purpose. Behind those, the cargo compartment measures 126.8 inches when the wheelbase is regular and 146.8 inches when it is extended. As a consequence, the vans with short and long wheel bases can accommodate 239.4 and 283.6 cubic feet of space, respectively. With its short wheelbase, the Express passenger van can accommodate 12 people in four rows of seats, and with its extended wheelbase, it can accommodate 15 people in five rows.  New 2026 Chevrolet Express Specs

Base City Express versions have a driver information center, vinyl flooring, Bluetooth, solid rear windows, power door locks, six roof rack mounting points on the outside, 20 integrated cargo mounting points inside, and six D-rings installed on the floor. The Technology package includes a rearview camera, satellite radio, navigation, and a 5.8-inch touchscreen. Engine and Performance

The 2026 City Express has an EPA rating of 24/26 mpg city/highway, which is similar to that of the Nissan NV200. However, its highway fuel efficiency is somewhat poorer than those of rivals like the Ford Transit Connect and Ram ProMaster City. With a maximum load capacity of 122.7 cubic feet, it is smaller than the Ford Transit Connect and Ram ProMaster City cargo van versions.

The base LS model has a radio, cloth upholstery, keyless entry, a two-speaker audio system, and 15-inch steel wheels. The higher-level LT trim now includes cruise control, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity, rear park aid, and electrically heated side mirrors. 2026 Chevy City Fuel Economy

While we haven’t examined the 2016 City Express, we have reviewed the Nissan NV200, which is mechanically identical. We stated in a 2013 First Test and Long-Term Arrival evaluation that the van’s supplementary features are all intended to be utilitarian, and that its primary focus is on utility.

Although the NV200’s seats are a positive quality since they provide ample comfort for lengthy trips, they seem tilted forward and are set at a maximum height. 2026 Chevy City Safety Features

Even in comparison to similar commercial vans, the 2024 Express is devoid of a number of active safety features and driver assistance. A head unit with an MP3 player and AM/FM radio that can be controlled by a small LCD screen is one of the usual features. The Express hides a tiny LCD screen behind its rearview mirror, which activates when you reverse, in compliance with the regulation requiring all new automobiles to include a backup camera. A satellite radio with controls mounted on the steering wheel, Bluetooth, and a USB port wheel are optional extras.

2026 Chevy City Price and Release Date

Both the cargo and passenger van versions of the 2026 Express have a regular (135.2-inch) or extended (155.2-inch) wheelbase. Cargo vans are available in a single utilitarian trim and cost at $34,295. The somewhat less practical LT version of the passenger van, which costs around $2,100 more than the standard LS and comes with cloth upholstery and cruise control, is also available. Ultimately, the payload distinguishes each Express variation. The standard wheelbase of an Express 2500 can support up to 3,280 pounds.
