New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Interior, Redesign, MPG
New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Interior, Redesign, MPG – Chevrolet’s compact SUV receives a redesign for New 2026 and the Equinox’s rugged new design has it looking like a scaled-down Traverse. The cabin receives a massive makeover too, with a redesigned center console and a boldly styled new dashboard that’s bookended by two large round air vents. A pair of new digital displays take center stage, with an 11.0-inch unit behind the steering wheel serving as a gauge display and an 11.3-inch one offering access to the Equinox’s Google-based infotainment system.

Exterior and Interior
Inside, the Equinox’s cabin is roomy for adults with plenty of cargo space for luggage or a large grocery haul. The interior styling is fresh and contemporary, with attractive materials and a nice balance of physical and digital controls. Cloth upholstery is standard, and faux leather is optional, but the top-spec Activ trim gets a mix of the vinyl with microfiber for a more upscale look and feel. A column-mounted shift lever frees up more space in the center console for storage, where you’ll also find a rotary knob controller for the infotainment system, an optional wireless smartphone charger, and a pair of cupholders.
New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Specs
All Equinox models come with two big digital displays on the dashboard. An 11.3-inch infotainment display stands tall on the center of the dashboard and is angled slightly toward the driver. Projected on it is Chevy’s latest Google-based infotainment interface, which features navigation via Google Maps and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood of every Equinox is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower. In front-wheel drive models, the turbo mates to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) but if you opt for all-wheel drive, you’ll get an eight-speed automatic instead. We haven’t had a chance to test drive the new Equinox yet, but we reckon its performance won’t be the best in its class. For reference, the last Equinox we tested with this engine—a 2023 model with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic—needed 8.0 seconds to reach 60 mph. When we get a chance to test drive the new version, we’ll update this story with driving impressions and test results. New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Interior
New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Economy
Simply put, Chevy’s base warranty package is minimal, but so is the coverage offered by its rivals. Nonetheless, longer and more noteworthy protection plans are available in the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage. Within the first year of ownership, Chevy does offer one complimentary dealer maintenance visit, which is a pleasant bonus. New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Interior

New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Price and Release Date
The price of the New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox starts at $31,080 and goes up to $35,480 depending on the trim and options. The Equinox’s lineup includes three distinct models: LT, RS, and Activ. We’d recommend upgrading to either the RS or the Activ trim. They start at the same price, so it comes down to your preference between the more rugged look of the Activ or the street-going style of the RS. Either way, you’ll get more equipment, unique wheel designs, and the availability of a two-tone exterior color scheme. New 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Interior
