While the overall boxy silhouette and elongated size of the Suburban haven’t changed, the large SUV gains a revised front fascia, new taillights, updated headlights, and a refreshed rear fascia. The rugged Z71 trim receives new skid plates, red tow hooks, Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires, and a front bumper that improves its approach angle. The upscale Premier and High Country trims have unique front and rear lights with an animation for when the driver approaches and departs the vehicle. Exterior and Interior
The Suburban remains GM’s biggest SUV, extending 225.7 inches. The LS can seat up to nine people across three rows, whereas the majority of other trims only seat eight. The Premier and High Country include second-row captain’s seats, which increase the passenger capacity to seven. The third row has 36.7 inches of legroom, making it suitable for adults.
Buyers receive 41.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the third row and 93.8 cubic feet when it is folded. The Suburban has a load capacity of 144.7 cubic feet when both back seats are folded down, making it the most freight-friendly SUV available.

Engine and Performance
The first five Suburban grades, LS through Premier, use a 5.3-liter V8 engine. Except for the Z71, these trims offer a turbodiesel six-cylinder for $995, which comes standard on the High Country model. The RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country models all have the option of a 6.2-liter V8 engine. All engines include a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The LT and Z71 Luxury Package costs $2,525 and features rear pedestrian detection and surround-view cameras. The option costs $3,025 on the RST, which includes adaptive cruise control and radar-enhanced automated emergency braking.
