New 2026 Chevy TrailBlazer Redesign, Interior, Release Date  –  Earlier this year, information was released on the New 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer’s engine, delivery date, and interior changes. These included a makeover and a tech-forward redesign including an 11-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. The weedy engines and choppy ride of the previous model were our biggest complaints, so we’re happy to see the updated design and technology.

Exterior and Interior

When it comes to visual appeal, this New 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer is second to none. These SUVs get their sharper look from design cues taken from the Camaro and the larger Blazer. We are huge admirers of this model because of its eye-catching and unique light signature and the geometric lines that run throughout its body. 

The appearance of this Trailblazer may differ marginally across trim levels. For example, the Activ body is better suited to rugged terrain thanks to its off-road-ready console and skid plate. Adding a touch of sportiness to this SUV, the RS was a highly sought-after trim option. There is also the option of a two-tone roof, which is quite popular.

Engine and Performance

We have already stated that in New 2026, Chevrolet will offer two engine options for the Trailblazer that are identical. So, the base model is still a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine combined with a constantly variable automatic transmission. The 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque are generated by that engine, which has front-wheel drive.

An optionally powerful engine is a 1.3-liter three-cylinder turbocharger that produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. It might have been easier to tolerate the dull performance of this Chevrolet Trailblazer if it hadn’t achieved such remarkable fuel economy. Unexpectedly, the 137-horsepower 1.2-liter FWD models get the lowest gas mileage estimations from the EPA, clocking in at approximately 29/31/30 mpg in combined city, highway, and combined cycle conditions. A bit disheartening, the 155-horsepower 1.3-liter manages better gas mileage than its rivals thanks to much larger and powerful motors (29/33/31 mpg with front-wheel drive and 26/29/27 mpg with all-wheel drive). The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave this Chevrolet Trailblazer a flawless five-star rating for all categories except the rollover test, where it only got four stars. The New 2026 Trailblazer hasn’t had any structural changes reported yet, and the car was already very safe before the redesign (it was a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ and got Good ratings in every category), so the IIHS isn’t testing it just yet.

Not only does this Trailblazer come standard with ten airbags and advanced features like high-definition rear cameras, but it also has the standard fare of anti-lock brakes, dynamic control, and tire-pressure monitoring. Standard equipment includes LED headlights, navigation, Buckle with Drive, and OnStar with Chevrolet Connected Operations. LED headlights are now standard, and you’ll also find a rear-view away indicator. There is no skimping on quality because these safety features are standard on most trim levels (including all LS). Rear parking detectors, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change warning, and cross-traffic alert are all part of this $395 LS/Driver Comfort package. For $495, you can have advanced cruise control on any model level.

Being an existing model with no significant changes, we expect the price to stay the same. We estimate that its midsize SUV will cost $22,995 to $28,595 (including destination), which is similar to the price range of its current design. Chevy has not announced whether or not they will sell the new Trailblazer just yet. But there are a number of reports that say production will start before the year is over. Also, the Kia Sportage, Honda CR-V, and Mazda CX-70 will all be back for another round of competition for this Trailblazer.

Upon its launch, the revised New 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer will not undergo many changes. According to newly revealed details, all four trim levels of the forthcoming compact SUV will share the same attractive Camaro design. We can probably expect four different trim levels, LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS, just like the current model.
